Adore Christmas angel ornament

Each year, I love to create handmade ornaments that we hang on our Christmas tree, garland or as a wall piece.  A piece of art, that reflects my message/story.  What a joy each year, when we pull out our handmade ornaments and reminisce over past ornaments.

I created these ornaments back in 2008 and have had requests each year to make these beauties.  This is a piece of art, that would make wonderful holiday gifts for family, teachers, friends, co-workers, etc.  Even though I make them for the holidays, many of my customers leave them out all year around.

Each angel is handcrafted and sewed by me.  I have incorporated a vintage bisque doll from Germany, vintage fabrics that date late 1800's to mid 1900's from my travels overseas and within the US, ribbon, beads, wire, rhinestones, vintage metal heart locket that opens, wings and stitching.  I have hung this angel on a vintage album page.

This doll measures roughly, 8 1/2" L x 7" W.  This is measuring from the top of the wire to the bottom of the fabric for length and for the width, the widest point on the fabrics.

Please keep in mind that even though I make this angel to be sturdy, I am using old, vintage, tattered and recycled pieces that may have fray edges and may continue to fray over time.

 Whether you keep this beauty for yourself or give it away as a gift, it will be a piece that will be treasured for years.
